I offer manuscript consultations at multiple budget levels for those who are trying to shape a larger body of work, put together a book or chapbook, and/or looking for someone to read through their poetry, nonfiction, or experimental writing manuscript.
This consultation fee with me, a published poet and essayist, who is kind and smart and capable of reading through your collection with intention and care, includes sharp line edits as well as a thorough written response. I can provide concise, constructive feedback on content, structure, ordering, and next publishing steps. All feedback is highly customizable, and I can tailor my response and feedback to fit your needs and questions.
I’ve structured the price of these consultation sessions based on two tiers: length, and budget. The length selection is fairly straightforward, and allows me to put the time and energy necessary into your collection. I offer a budget selection for those with limited resources who are looking for a careful, quality reader.
Please select whatever budget tier you feel comfortable with (low, medium, or high) and know that this option is offered in good faith that those who can afford it will pay accordingly and appropriately.
For larger projects or more detailed editorial requests, please contact me first at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“I've worked with Kelly on many projects and have had each work revolutionized by her cares, insight, and absurd sagacity. Kelly approaches each editing project as sincerely as her own impressive work and unearths what's already in the piece-- which is refreshing to other editors who try to press their vision upon your work. Her notes are contemplative, thorough and sensitive to the form and original intent of the work, and I find that each writing I've worked on with her comes back dynamically more my own and more in line with the potential vision I had for it.”
